The Owen-Withee Junior Prom was held on Saturday, April 13 from 8-11 p.m. All OWHS students who paid their fees and passed third quarter classes were invited to attend the dance held in the refurbished haymow at Munson Bridge Winery located north of Withee. The old barn glimmered that night as the light beaming down from a crystal chandelier illuminated sequined dresses, satin suits and crisp tux coats.
The 2024 prom court included Lydia Lobacz, Kendall Weiler, Angela Baures, Cassidy Graski, Ellie Peterson, Mathew Wilson, Mason Gay, Dominic Sherwood, Colin Fritz and Brett Baehr. After the DJ introduced members of the prom court, each couple revealed their signature dance move. Following the slick moves, former Queen Reina Arndt and former King Ryan Nelson crowned Mason Gay and Angela Baures prom King and Queen. Ed Sheeran’s song Thinking Out Loud played while the reigning King and Queen were first to slow dance followed by the court and soon all were invited to sway back and forth on the dance floor.
