Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services unveils fresh logo

ELLSWORTHPierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS), a trusted name in energy and broadband services, revealed its brand new logo to its membership at the 87th Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 18.
PPCS’ journey began with the successful launch of SwiftCurrent Connect, its broadband subsidiary. SwiftCurrent’s logo, with its vibrant colors and contemporary style, resonated with its members and became the face of broadband services. However, as PPCS looked to unify its brands and promote both SwiftCurrent and PPCS, it became clear that maintaining distinct styles and colors was becoming challenging. PPCS sought an approach that would seamlessly blend tradition and modernity.
PPCS isn’t changing the cooperative's name; its current name reflects its broader interest in delivering essential services. PPCS will also continue to use its trademarked “Live Better” tagline to help guide the cooperative and its mission.

New logo features include:

  1. Efficient lettering: The typography is sleek and efficient, reflecting a commitment to streamlined service delivery.
  2. Modern colors: The vibrant hues symbolize a forward-looking approach while paying homage to the cooperative’s rich history.
  3. The circular element: The circle, intersected by three lines, holds multiple meanings:
    • Rivers: It represents the three major rivers-Mississippi, Chippewa, and St. Croix-that define the PPCS service area.
    • Unity: The lines symbolize the PPCS members, board of directors, and dedicated staff working together.
    • Services: It signifies the diverse offerings of the cooperative, from electricity to broadband solutions.

Change takes time. Over the next 12-18 months, PPCS will gradually shift to the new brand. The logo will be transitioned into communications, vehicle decals, and more.

“Regardless of our colors, font, logo, or brand,” said CEO Nate Boettcher, “we are here to serve our members and make our cooperative an organization they can be proud of while also enriching our communities.”
