Two Ellsworth residents sustained serious injuries in a rollover crash on Hwy. 65 near 790th Street in Belleville, River Falls Township.

Police were alerted to the crash at 5:27 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate that a 2004 Honda Pilot driven by William Barillas, 54, Ellsworth, was southbound on Hwy. 65 when the vehicle crossed the centerline into the northbound lane. The vehicle then entered the east ditch and reportedly rolled multiple times.

A passenger in the vehicle, Sandar Barilla, 57, Ellsworth had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported from the scene by Life Link III helicopter to Regional Hospital in St. Paul with undetermined injuries.

William Barillas was transported to Regional Hospital, also with undetermined injuries, by Ellsworth Area Ambulance.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Ellsworth Police Department, Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service, River Falls Fire Department and River Falls Area Ambulance Service.

The crash remains under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
