PIERCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS
March 29 12:15 a.m.
A driving complaint was received on Hwy. 63 near 825th St. S. in Hager City. Contact was made with the driver after the vehicle was located pulling into a business. The driver’s license was revoked out of Minnesota. The driver was cited for Operating without a Valid License – 1st Offense. 1:11 a.m.
Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity at an address on 1206th St. in Prescott for someone banging on the front door of the residence. Video footage was located, and they were gone upon arrival.
Extra patrol was requested in Bay City near the intersection of Cty. Tk. EE and Hwy. 35 for a vehicle that goes through town early in the morning with their lights off.
Deputies responded to Prescott near the intersection of Cty. Tk. E and Hwy. 10 for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Three patients were transported to the hospital.
Nine feeder show calves were reported missing from an address on 450th Ave. in Spring Valley.
A driver was stopped near the intersection of 320th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Hager City and warned for passing into oncoming traffic.
Deputies responded to an address on 457th Ave. in Prescott for a couch that was lit on fire the previous night and abandoned in the roadway. The township was informed and advised they would pick up the couch. No suspects were known.
Two drivers were stopped and cited for speeding in River Falls near the intersection of 620th St. and Hwy. 29.
Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of 430th Ave. and 490th St. in Ellsworth for a report of manure in the roadway. Very little manure was located, and it was found to mostly be mud._ The farmer said he would clean it off.
Deputies responded to an address near the intersection of 1060th St. and Cty. Tk. M in River Falls for a report of a grass fire. No injuries were reported but a car was burnt up from the fire.
A report was received that a golf cart was being operated recklessly and almost hit the complainant near the intersection of Main St. and Maple Ave. in Plum City. Contact was made with the suspects, who were given a verbal warning. The parents were also notified.
March 30 4:55 a.m.
River Falls PD was assisted removing debris from Division St. near Hwy. 65 in River Falls.
A semi was reportedly stuck in the mud near the intersection of 150th Ave. and 803rd St. in Hager City. Contact was made with the driver, who was reporting the incident per his company policy.
Prescott PD was assisted with a crash on Hwy. 10 near Locust St.
Deputies responded to an address on Hwy. 35 in Prescott for a theft. The complainant stated two male subjects were on site stealing catalytic converters. The suspect vehicle was located and information was collected from the individuals involved. 7:35 p.m.
Deputies responded to Prescott near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and 1259th St. for an accident with property damage.
March 31 1:11 a.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed on Hwy. 29 near Cty. Tk. Y in River Falls.
Ellsworth PD was assisted with an unwanted subject in the 100 block of E. Main St.
Deputies were dispatched to an address on 920th St. in River Falls. Upon speaking with both parties, the subjects agreed to leave for the evening.
Deputies responded to the area of 800th St. in Ellsworth for a suspicious vehicle in a field. Deputies located the car and a driver who was sleeping after getting stuck. The vehicle was removed, and the driver was given a ride.
Dispatch received a report of a suspicious vehicle with a trailer at an address on Cty. Tk. BB in Spring Valley. The vehicle was located, and subjects were advised they were not welcome on the property.
A complainant reported a subject almost hit a gas pump and appeared intoxicated. Contact was made with the subject at his residence on 785th St. in Hager City and he was found to not be intoxicated. He was told to not drive due to being revoked. April 1 3:36 a.m.
A report of fraud was requested from an address on 590th St. in Beldenville after an online account was compromised and someone made purchases online.
A suspicious unknown vehicle was reported on 970th St. in Hager City.
A driving complaint was received in Hager City near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and Hwy. 63. Contact was made with the operator in question, who said a “tweaker” in a black sedan was preventing him from passing once he tried. Once he completed the pass, he tried to put distance between them. The driver was warned. 7:41 a.m.
A driving complaint was received in the area of the intersection of 490th St. and 570th Ave. in Ellsworth. Contact was made with the driver, who was arrested for Operating After Revocation – OWI related, Resisting Arrest, Threats to Law Enforcement and felony and misdemeanor bond violations.
A male subject was found to be throwing garbage in the ditch near the intersection of 340th Ave. and 650th St. in Ellsworth. A citation was mailed, and the male picked up all of the garbage.
Deputies were requested to respond to a business on Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth for a report of a disorderly male sleeping at the bar. He was given a courtesy ride.
April 2 12:20 a.m.
A complainant reported their neighbor was shooting off fireworks on Cty. Tk. C in Bay City. He was told to contact the township. 1:08 a.m.
Prescott PD was assisted with a bar fight in the 100 block of Broad St.
A suspicious person was reported in the 500 block of W. Lucas Ln. in Ellsworth. 8:33 a.m.
A complainant on 690th St. in River Falls reported that he had dynamite that needed to be disposed of.
Deputies were requested to respond to Beltline Rd. in Spring Valley for an unwanted person.
Two juveniles were reported to be throwing plastic into the roadway near the intersection of 490th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth. Contact was made with their mother, who was advised of the complaint. The roadway was cleaned up.
Deputies responded to a business on 785th St. in Hager City for a damaged gas pump.
A vehicle was stopped for the plates not matching the vehicle near the intersection of 530th St. and Hwy. 72 in Ellsworth. The driver did not have a valid license and was revoked due to an OWI. The driver also failed to install an Ignition Interlock Device. Citations were issued and explained through a translator.
A driver was stopped for speed on Hwy. 35 in Prescott. The driver was cited for speed and Operating without a Valid License – 1st Offense.
An assault was reported at an address on 165th Ave. in Hager City.
April 3 12:00 a.m.
A hit and run accident was reported on Newman Ave. in Spring Valley.
A possible fight in progress was reported near the intersection of 163rd Ave. and Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City. A male was located on the side of the roadway that stated he was running away from people he believed were going to attack him. The male was given a courtesy ride to Red Wing.
A vehicle was stopped for not having working boat trailer lights near the intersection of 400th St. and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. A verbal warning was given for the equipment violation.
A dead deer was removed from the roadway near the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Cty. Tk. O in Ellsworth.
A suspicious pick-up truck was checked on in a parking lot in the 100 block of E. Main St. in Ellsworth. Two homeless individuals were found to be sleeping in the covered box of the truck. The female registered owner had a misdemeanor warrant, but the jail would not accept her.
Deputies responded to an address on 815th St. in Hager City for a reported gas leak. Traffic control was provided while it was taken care of.
A deceased raccoon was removed from the roadway near the intersection of Cty. Tk. D and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth.
A complainant reported that people were standing on a sandbar fishing and were trespassing on his property. The males stated they never left the water, and the sandbar was underwater. The fishermen moved along and both parties were advised of the laws. The complainant was not happy that people are able to go through his property while in the water. He was also warned not to be disorderly to people fishing.
April 4 9:58 p.m.
Deputies were dispatched near the intersection of 290th St. and Cty. Tk. G in Elmwood for a suspicious persons complaint. Contact was made with the driver and passenger, who stated they were just looking at the stars. The subjects departed.
