ELMWOOD – Elmwood invites everyone to the 42nd annual UFO Days town party July 22-25, which honors the area’s history of the unexplained.

This eastern Pierce County village calls itself the UFO Capital of the World, stemming from a series of unexplained encounters with UFOs dating back to the mid-1970s.

New events to check out at this year’s “out-of-this-world” celebration are a magician, flying saucer toss, a dunk tank/striker stand, a tug-of-war, youth water fights, UFOthemed craft-making, a traveling reptile show, a local variety show and a bike safety obstacle course. Many traditional favorites return as well, including the grande parade, fireworks, UFO brats and souvenirs, live music and axe-throwing. ELMWOOD
