Fuhrman, 23, River Falls, posted a $50,000 signature bond in Pierce County Circuit Court on two felony sexual assault of child by person who works or volunteers with children and two sexual intercourse with child 16 or older, actor 19 or older charges Feb. 22. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and/or $10,000 in fines.

Why is the Cheese Curd Festival in East End?

The Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival is held each June in East End Park and the East End Business District.

The Journal asked the Cheese Curd Festival Committee, which falls under the umbrella of the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, to tell us why the CCF is in East End. The committee is in charge of planning and executing the wildly popular June festival. The village itself only issues the permits and licenses that allow the festival to take place.
