PRESCOTT – Prescott Public Library (PPL) will host an antique appraisal event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 in which participants can get family heirlooms and other possessions appraised by Mark Moran, an antiques expert who has worked with various forms of collectibles for over 30 years and has served as a guest expert on the PBS show “Antiques Roadshow.”
Registration is required for this event, and limitations apply.
“Mark was happy to partner with us when I reached out to him,” said Darien Becker, Program & Outreach Coordinator at PPL. “And the staff were especially excited to hear he’s coming back because the last appraisal event we hosted was so fun.”
Moran fondly remembered the last time he visited Prescott as one of his favorite appraisals was from a gentleman who brought in a painting.
“[He] said he bought the painting for $10 at a yard sale [and] it sold at auction for $19,680 with buyer’s premium,” said Moran.
Spots are limited and filling fast, so register soon! More information and the registration form can be found on the PPL website: https://tinyurl.com/moran-ppl-2025
