Join fellow Cottage Grove community members at the Strawberry Fest 5K & Kids 1K on June 22 at Kingston Park, located at 9195 75th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016. 5K check-in begins at 7:15 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. Kids 1K check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. and the race starts at 9:30 a.m.
The Strawberry Fest 5K is open to all runners, walkers, those in strollers, or pets on a leash. The route leaves Kingston Park and will be marked by Cottage Grove city staff and Public Safety. All 5k participants will receive a carton of fresh strawberries upon completion. The Strawberry Fest 5K will be chip-timed, and times will be posted online at the conclusion of the event. Pre-registration cost is $15 per participant. On-site registration is $20 per participant.
The Strawberry Fest 1k is for anyone 10 and younger. Recreation staff will line two soccer fields cheering runners on as they make four loops. Family and friends can also cheer from the sideline or run with them. The goal is to run and have fun. 1K runners receive a medal and a bottle of Strawberry Milk at the end of the race. Pre-registration cost is $10 per participant. On-site registration is $15 per participant.
